Hotel Guldsmeden is set in a carefully restored 19th century building with wrought iron balconies and original fireplaces in the center of Copenhagen. High ceilings and original coving complement hand-picked French colonial-style furniture and soft colors in the 64 individually decorated guestrooms. Most have four poster beds, many have furnished balconies overlooking the street and all are hung with original artworks. Amenities in the rooms include cable television, wireless Internet and minibars.
Guests can enjoy an organic buffet breakfast of charcuterie and French cheese served on hand- decorated Mexican china in the airy café, with its Mediterranean-style décor. There are direct trains to Copenhagen Central Station every ten minutes from the airport. Taxis are readily available from ranks at Terminal 3 East and Terminal 1, Halls 3 and 6. Bus numbers 9, 250S and 500S run from the airport to the city centre and beyond until midnight daily. The city's public transport system comprises a metro rail network called S-train, and a bus system called HT. There is also a new underground metro system and numerous cycle paths.
